About Us

Creativity and Innovation for Change.

UBUCHANGE is a social enterprise founded in 2023 by young refugees in Uganda. The name comes from the Swahili word Ubunifu, which means creativity and innovation. We exist to transform displaced communities into spaces of learning, creation, and entrepreneurship.

We use a unique Salespreneurship Model, powered by our 7Cs Ecosystem, to help refugees learn practical skills, make sustainable products, and sell them directly to buyers. This model turns people into Salespreneurs, creators and business owners who keep the value of their work in their own hands.

Our work stretches from Kampala to Kyaka II Refugee Settlement, creating income through agribusiness, recycling, and natural fiber crafts made from banana stems. Every product we make carries a story of hope, dignity, and creativity.

Mission

We train and support refugees to build businesses, brand their products, and access local and global markets through our social marketplace.

Vision

A future where refugees and marginalized communities earn steady incomes through agribusiness, creativity, and Salespreneurship.

Why We Exist

Refugees and displaced people have talent, ideas, and the will to work, but few opportunities. Many depend on aid because markets are closed, jobs are scarce, and skills often go unnoticed. UBUCHANGE exists to change that. We open doors for people to earn, create, and build dignified lives through their own hands.

Restoring Dignity

We believe that work brings pride. When people earn through their skills, they find confidence, purpose, and respect. Dignity grows when the power to provide comes from within, not from outside help.

Creating Opportunity

Talent needs access to grow. We create spaces that connect refugees to training, materials, and markets so that potential becomes real income and progress.

Building Independence

Change begins when people stop waiting for aid. Through Salespreneurship, refugees learn to make, sell, and manage their own businesses, creating steady income and lasting livelihoods.

Our Values

CHANGE is the foundation of how UBUCHANGE works. It expresses our belief that real progress starts with people, their ideas, effort, and unity. Each letter represents what guides us every day
